Mission Statement

“Train a child in the way that he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.” – Proverbs 22:6

We, at Pleasant Run Church of Christ Child Development Center, are committed to providing high-quality childcare in a Christian environment. We value the importance of a dedicated, well-trained staff, as well as safe and secure surroundings. We also seek to offer more than a worry-free babysitting service. Our goal is to encourage each child to develop in the specific areas of:

Physically: By providing nutritious food choices, a comfortable place to rest or nap, and promoting exercise within supervised play areas, both inside and outdoors. In addition, we offer developmentally appropriate planned activities for each age group, daily using games and toys to help our children learn as well as develop gross and fine motor skills. Children learn as they play.

Emotionally: By encouraging children to express themselves verbally, physically, and artistically. The staff interacts by responding to and teaching each child with love and respect. Our first priority is for each child to learn that he or she is a worthwhile human being, a unique creation of God, capable of loving and being loved.

Socially: By offering multiple opportunities for children to gain social skills through playing with other children and through interaction with staff members and parents. Programs are scheduled throughout the year for children to sing, recite poetry, and meet, greet and serve guests who attend our programs.

Morally: We believe in positive discipline and guidance in dealing with inappropriate behavior. While we encourage children to express themselves, we also seek to help develop their awareness of suitable behavior towards others. We hope to instill in our children a love for God and respect for all His creations.
